On Wednesday's We Wear Pink!

Is anyone else feeling the post Bank Holiday blues? We certainly are, our sale was a huge success (our website even crashed on the first day which we certainly didn’t expect!) and we saw so many amazing orders and the amazing plants going to their new homes! But its Wednesday and normality of everyday is back… so why not refer back to Mean Girls and add some pink to our midweek hump!

So here are some of the amazing pink plant babies that we have available at BT!

Syngonium Podophyllum 'Neon'

One of our absolute favourites at the minute and has been very popular in our Bank Holiday Sale that has just passed! The gorgeous lush pink foliage just super soft and the perfect addition to any collection with that subtle but gorgeous hint of pink (and true to its name it gives you a gorgeous neon display of pale green and

hues of yellow as the leaves turn to its true dusky pink). Plus teamed with the fact that this is really low maintenance with only

needing bright indirect sunlight – perfect for any room where you get that gorgeous low sun in the morning or late afternoon, so you can truly admire the beauty of this plant!

Hoya Flamingo Dream

Ah an amazing climbing plant, we’ve seen some fantastic photos from our BeyondTropics family (if you haven’t already, make sure you join us over on Facebook!) who have climbed these up a circular support pole and it is absolutely gorgeous! You honestly can’t go wrong with a Hoya, they need slightly higher

humidity and bright but indirect sunlight (so make sure there is no direct sunlight as this may burn the gorgeous leaves!) and they can be a slow grower but honestly they are worth the wait for the gorgeous pink variegation you see! If I had to pick a favourite Hoya then this certainly would be one of them!

Alocasia Brancifolia 'Pink Passion'

Alocasia Pink Passion. Tropical house plant.

One of the more obscure Alocasia’s is the pink passion, this is a little more subtle with the pink hints but still adding some of that lovely pink hue to your life!

The pink is speckled throughout the stem of the plant, we’ve personally found that this Alocasia absolutely thrives in our bathroom as it

Philodendron Pink Princess

philodendron pink princess. pink princess house plant.

The Pink Princess is a funny little plant and is definitely a risk worth taking, we do find that sometimes the plant can throw out a normal leaf without variegation but other times it can throw out a leaf with tonnes of variegation – its always leaving you excited for the next leaf and what’s to come! If you ensure that this plant gets enough light you can be ensured that even if the current leaf has little to no variegation the next one could come out spectacular! This is one of Emma’s favourite Philodendrons and honestly the deep pink variegation is just gorgeous!

Syngonium Pink Splash

You can’t go wrong with the pink splash, this teamed up with the Neon make the perfect pink pair! The difference between the Splash and the Neon are that the Neon has the variegation across the whole foliage but much like the Phil. Pink Princess this Syngonium surprises you with each unique patterned leaf – some have splashes and speckles of pink across the leaf and others can have the whole leaf beautifully painted with pink, truly living up to its name! Syngoniums are the best beginner plant as well – thriving off the bright indirect sunlight (again living for that early morning or late afternoon sun!) and with such easy care it means you can add that “Splash” of pink to your life and not have to worry!

Well that’s it for our BT Pink Wednesday – all of the above are available in our shop for you to purchase and add to your home or plant collection, perfectly affordable prices too so you don’t have to break the bank for that pink hue into your life!
